A senior official at the Army civil coordination office in Jaffna said that 73 schools in Jaffna that were closed during the war are yet to re-open following the end of the war.
He made this comment in response to a story published in the Lakbima newspaper that 73 schools in Jaffna have been closed down.
Among the schools that are closed are 14 in the Jaffna city limits, 26 in the islands, 11 in Chavakachcheri, 19 in Valikamam and three in Vadamarachchi.
