I sacrifice my life to the progress of Tamil language and people as it was in old times, due to my love and respect for them due to my studies of Tamil language and history at the young age.

Due to great respect of Periyar and SJV.Chelvanayagam, I involved in many activities!
I respected other people,their language,culture,religion as I did towards my language,culture and religion.When I was working at the Royal college, Colombo as well as at the Ministry of Education with Sinhalese people, I realised their good characters!

I came to Colombo in 1963 because of transfer of my job and involved in Tamil Sangam's(TS) service due to request from our tamil scholars! Today, TS is grown very well and I am happy to be a part of its growth!I still stay here and do my duty to TS ! I spread the greatness of the poet Poothanthevanar because he was one of the poet who showed the greatness of Eelam Tamils.

Library of TS is one of the greatest! You should send all your publications here as you did before! Many people from our village:Inuvil are doing their good services to this great TS!

I focussed the Tamil people's history and speciality at the World Conference in Mauritius some years back and express their loss of land to tsunami time to time as well as richness and strongness of Jaffna kingdom.I published my book "Panchavanna Thoothu" and express our traditional religious and cultural ties with Tamilnaadu in India. Manimekalai publications of Tamilnaadu published my book as they did your book very well!My book was released in SL and Canada by Sooriyar.

My friend, a village fellow: Mr.R.Sivalingam(Uthayanan)who was working at the University of Helsinki published a Tamil translation of KALEVALA,a national epic of Finland!That was great!

The five hundred page volume in Tamil is a publication to commemorate the Golden Jubliee of the birth of the author.It is a unique publication in the sense that the majority of the contributions are in verse than in prose form.The verse form is far away from the traditional pattern but falls under a new pattern in a lucid and easily understandable style that could be very well appreciated by the glolbal diasporic second and third generation of Tamils.In this respect the author has succeeded well in reaching his global audience.The entire work could be classified under three categories--tribiutes to elders,social leaders and his kith and kin; the author's exchanges , interviews and experience with diverse personalities in the various Afro-Asian and European countries of his travels; and finally creating awareness and canvassing support for the Tamil cause in his native land which is very close to the author's heart.

The author hails from the traditionally cultural village of Inuvil in Jaffna and had his secondary education in the prestigious Jaffna Hindu College. He is a Peradeniya produced Agricultural scientist turned global Journalist who has made Norway his permanent country of domicile due to circumstances beyond his control having undergone the trauma due to political conditions back home.His early training during his pre-university days with the home-grown Tamil daily and later with the national Tamil daily enabled him to organise and continue the global Tamil journal " Sarvadesa Tamilar " with great acceptance and appreciation in dessiminating information and canvassing support for the Tamil cause.(& Mathuram magazine:1981-82/Univ.Peradeniya)

The author is full of gratitude for all those who helped and supported him from his childhood including his parents, relations, his kith and kin and also his dedicated teachers,religious and social leaders who went a long way to shape his career and life.Being a Gandhian from his youth, he had a burning desire for social justice throughout his career and successfully organised anti-alchoholic movements at grassroot levels.He has sufficiently brought out his appreciation of religious and cultural values, and nature's contribution to happier life style in our rural setting so as make those who are living far away from our native land to recall and appreciate such rich values.

Where ever he travelled, be it European countries or India and the Far East he has made meaningful contacts with people who matter with the main purpopse of making them aware of the problems faced by the Tamils back home.This has helped to create supportive international opinion on the burning issues of the time.He developed such a passion to redress the grievances of our people so much so that as a student he had the courage to present a petition of requests on the stage of the World Tamil Research Conference held in Madurai in 1981 to the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M.G.Ramachandran which had favourtable results.His writings go a long way to reveal the amount of ground work that he had organised in Norway and with other international bodies to lobby them to involve in the many and prolonged peace processes in Sri lanka.

All in all, the publication contains worthy experiences that should be read fully to experience the worth of its value.The author's efforts are to be appreciated as a lot of involvement and dedication has gone into this publication and it is well worth the efforts. It was printed by Manimekhalai Printers in T" Nagar , Chennai and has come out as a well bound attractive publication and was released in Chennai in September 2007

Bleeding near eyes due to barbe-wire fence attack in dark!

Many were caught & attacked including teachers!

1974:Established Inuvil Social Service Center during WTRC-Jaffna. Narrowly escaped 1974 Sinhala Police massacre during WTRC-festival infront of Veerasingam Hall,Jaffna.

1970: Jaffna District-Tamil Students Popular Protest March/ Demonstration from Kokuvil-Jaffna against "Standardisation Discrimination on Tamils to Univ.Entrance Act" by SLFP! Leaders: Sathyaseelan,Dr.S.Jeyasundaram,Sivakumar etc.

1960:My father K.Nalliah/GS-Union introduced myself & sister as children to Dr.N.M.Perera/LSSP/FM-SL during lamp-procession at KKS-rd,Inuvil!Later pol.meetings of LSSP!

He became friend with Dr.N.M.Perera/Left Socialist during 1954-58 Yatiyantota as a teacher. He participated in various protests/demo against "Sinhala Only " act & attack on Tamils!
