It was PSD group that hurled petrol bomb at Dambulla mosque: MaRa ordered to destroy mosque MaRa who uprooted Palmyra trees to plant coconut trees gone mad on fanaticism (Lanka-e-News-22.April.2012, 8.00PM) It was the group which came in the white van attached to the paramilitary force under the President’s security division (PSD), which is not accountable even to the Army Commander that has hurled the petrol bomb at the mosque in Dambulla on the 20th, according to reports reaching Lanka e news. It is now common knowledge that it is this infamous criminal white van of the paramilitary force under the PSD , that is the President whose name is now a byword for murder , mayhem and heinous crimes in the country , which had been engaged in committing attempted murder on Kolonnawa UC mayor, Rangalla treasure digging and thieving etc. It is the white van group which had attacked the Dambulla mosque yesterday (20) , early morning group . This same PSD white van group had a few days earlier met the Dambulla police officers and identified themselves as from the PSD. A police officer whose name cannot be disclosed speaking to Lanka e news confirmed that it is this same white van which had hurled the petrol bomb at the mosque on the 20th , based on eye witnesses. Moreover , about this attack ,in the police register it has recorded it most briefly, that is a special investigation was conducted at 10.30 in the morning , and it was found that a tri cornered cracker had blasted. A police spokesman who expressed his views on this told Lanka e news , ‘it is abundantly clear this is an operation under the President’s manipulations . We are all fully aware that it is the case. But what we did not know was , when Inamaluwe Thero was coming to create trouble , simultaneously the STF soldiers of the Sigiriya STF camp had also been brought along. In other words , the STF soldiers were got down to give ‘guard’ to Inamaluwe violent group. ‘It is perplexing how the STF arrived even without us , the police making a request?’ Meanwhile , the regime chief MaRa had summoned a powerful politico of the Dambulla district , and said ‘ I want to ensure that the Kovil and mosque be destroyed’. ‘How can I do that , when this was a place of worship of the people even before I was born. In case , in your own Hambantota district if there was an ancient mosque , and if you were asked to destroy that religious place , can you do it?’ the politico had questioned the President in return. The political analysts who studied the action and reaction of this regime chief and his sidekicks vis a vis the Dambulla incident and MaRa’s earlier instructions to uproot the Palmyra trees which adorned Gall face because they are ‘trees of the Tamils’ and to grow coconut trees instead , took pity on this regime and its chief because they fear that this whole group in their maniacal racial obsession under the hypocritical guise of following Buddhist precepts are fast headed for places in the lunatic asylum. “There are no such stupid idiotic extremists in this Dambulla district. Inamulawe Thero had always been notorious for being susceptible to influence of filthy lucre and dancing to that tune . Otherwise , when 75 soldiers were killed following a bomb explosion in a bus at Dambulla, people should have been incited to destroy mosques and kovils . That did not happen then. Religious freedom for all religions is clearly enshrined in Sri Lanka constitution. However a point must be emphasized before talking about this incident. Just as the British undertook in writing with Kandyan chiefs at the handing over of the sovereignty of Lanka, and had been the case throughout our 2500 year history before that, the new constitution also emphasized that the government must support and foster Buddhism. Next, unlike Islam, Christianity and Judaism, Buddhism has no precedent whatsoever of violence in disseminating its Dhamma. Indeed, we have a mosque and a Hindu temple next to our Dalada Maligawa (most sacred place for Buddhists in Sri Lanka) for last hundred years. Now, according to Prime Minister, this structure has neither the legal approval nor it has been there for 60 years as a mosque as some Muslims disseminate, but less than ten years as a gathering place for Muslims that has been gradually transformed as a mosque. Unless for some religious compulsion directed by Allah and read by Gabrial through Muhammad as written in Koran or interpreted in Hadith as statements or actions of Muhammad, I see no crucial reason for Muslims to retain this structure where it is now; meaning they can have it somewhere away from the middle the aged old Buddhist sacred area. That doesn’t mean; we need not resort to Hindu method of razing Babari mosque to restore Ram’s birth place in Ayodhya, or do as Muslim Taliban demolished Bamiyan Buddhas saying they are only complying Koran verses and following Muhammad’s action of demolition of idols. I point out those known Muslim habits because Muslims that criticize monks' protest shouldn’t be hazy about their own nasty records. Indeed, I am relieved that no Buddhist Monk lead protestors demolished any mosque to date though protested.
