UN secretary General Mr. Ban Ki Moon is to visit Colombo, Sri Lanka on Friday, the 22nd May, on the same day Sri Lanka is celebrating victory over Tamils.
Why Friday? Why the same day Sri Lanka celebrating victory?
Sri Lanka proclaimed victory and has said there is no more LTTTE. But it doesn’t allow the free media into the war zone, yet. Requests of the INGOS for permission to go into the war zone haven’t been granted yet.
But, Mr. Moon is visiting Colombo. Why?
Whereas Tamils accuse Sri Lanka of Genocide,
Whereas questions have been raised about war crimes by Sri Lanka,
Whereas accusations have been thrown at about using chemical weapons and illegal weapons,
Whereas the fate about 110000 civilian Tamils is not yet known,
Whereas Sri Lanka denies knowledge of the whereabouts of three Doctors, namely Sathiyamoorthy, Varatharajah & Shanmugarajah, all serving in the war zone and arrested by the Lankan military after fleeing the safety zone, not known
Why would Ban Ki Moon visit Sri Lanka at this critical time?
Tamils appealed to the UN and all western governments to stop the war. Provide humanitarian assistance. But not acting soon enough Un is already under criticism for having condoned genocide on Tamils by Sri Lanka.
Professor Boyle in conversation with Los Angeles KPFK radio host, Michael Slate, Tuesday, noting that the slow genocide of Tamils in Sri Lanka accelerated to more than 10,000 killed in the last few months, far exceeding the horrors of Srebrenica, accused Sri Lanka Government of bulldozing and destroying evidence of massacres in the Safety Zone while preventing access to the Red Cross and UN agencies.
By going to Colombo on Friday the 22nd Mr. moon will only help to cover up the genocide.
Sri Lanka will use the visit by Ban for propaganda.
Please urge Mr. Moon not to visit Sri Lanka on Friday unless free media and INGOs are allowed to go into the war zone first.
