SINHALA MENTALITY/METHODS SHOULD CHANGE!!!

All the problems and sufferings of SL-Tamils started by the wrong Sinhala mentality and methods!If anyone neutrally study the history of SL carefully, they realise the basic reason of this crisis.The only way out of this crisis is the change of attitude and methods of Sinhalese leaders! We can suggest the following suggestions to rectify the wrongs and take SL for a better future! Better late than never! If Sinhalese can't include Tamils,they shd leave them alone!


Many Tamils lost the trust towards Sinhala leaders,politicians,ministers, forces, police, bureaucrats, media, and judiciary! because of their approach! They always failed to treat the sickness, but engaged actively to hide/destroy the symptoms! They never respected to appoint minorities with propotional representations to govt. jobs or police/forces.They excluded all.

What wrongs and injustice Sinhalese did to the Tamils(1948-2008), are as follows:


1.They didn't want to treat the minorities as equals even now in this modern world. They always have hidden agendas! They say something and do something!Almost all of them do like this!
We couldn't find/mention any single Sinhala leader who got the power and did justice to all.


2.They never respected Tamil lives, land, properties and their safety, humanrights, political rights etc etc! Even now they include a Tamil village(Kokilai) with Sinhala district to manipulate destroy, continuity/integrity/unity of tamil region of the Eastern province.

3.They never stop brutality from Sinhala thugs. Law enforcing agencies, judiciary, police, forces, prisonauthorities failed to stop violations and acted with indifference or ignore the complaints!
They arrested many innocent minorities without trials and put them in legal/illegal prisons for long years. They were tortured, even massacred in prisons!There were no inquiries!No justice!

4.They discriminated,marginalised,oppressed, abused verbaly, physically,mentally almost all minorities in education, jobs, recruitments to police,forces,bureaucracy etc etc. Almost each and every minorities are still experiencing this everyday in SL. Minorities survived with fear and tolerance everyday.

5.They planned, executed, tried to hide to the world, deny justice of their killings, massacres, pogroms etc etc.But they couldn't hide it.World came to know their shrewed tactics and cruel brutality now and they should take proper actions to safeguard minorities in SL.

6.They manipulated elections, intimidate the voters with corruption, fraud, bribery.This became a common culture among them.But they say they follow buddhism! What a shame! They should change even now!!!

7.Eventhough 97% of Tamils(opinion poll/NPC) expressed support for ahimsa,dialogue,political solution with justice and equality, but Sinhalese are treating every tamil as militants and arrested 1000s and let them languish in prison for nothing.They have gone through various, cruel , inhuman methods of tortures and killings even in custody as suspects.

8.They refused the entry of UN, Intl.press, NGOs to go inside Tamil areas and help or inquire or report by Intl.bodies! Kidnappings by white vans, disappearances from streets/homes/job are very common now and Tamils are afraid to go out from their home as well as stay at home.


9.They occupied, confiscated Tamil homes,farmlands, schools, temples in the name of HSC(SOZ) and even now they are not willing to allow Tamil refugees come home from refugee camps.
Many people lost their jobs and income due to this horrible war and starve to death.


10. They never do justice or give compesations to the killings of civilians by POLICE, SLA, SLN, SLAF(aerial bombing, artillery shelling) or disappearances, tortures etc!


11.Corruption, bribery, brutality, discriminations, favoritisms,commissions, alcohol misuse and sexual abuse, threats, verbal/physical abuses are serious problems here, which is not easy to stop overnight! They need treatments and classes for not to do these brutal behaviours/ violations towards fellow humanbeings.

12.Most of the leaders/polticians prefer war against their minorities rather than dialogue and political solutions!They are ready to spend millions to buy arms/ammunitions and propaganda tours to crush minorities but not willing to spend them a penny for their development. But they want to get money from the IC to do devlopment of minorities but when they do projects, they divert the funds to other districts/ other projects to benefit their own people!They think others are fools to not understand these shrewed tactics!


Finally, If Sinhalese leaders really want to change these historical mistakes and their shrewed cruel behaviours, they can do so by declaring peace/CF unilaterally and invite UN envoy to do justice and asked them to design a federal state solution in NESL without Sinhala manipulations.

They can prove the World and 80 million Tamils that they are true buddhists and really want to change their attitude, behaviour, methods towards fellow Tamil humanbeings!They can let more than 1 million Tamil refugees/IDPs come home in this "World Refugees Day".
